Where is the UQSM Marketplace?

The UQSM show will be held at the South Towne Exposition Center.

  • 9575 State St, Sandy, UT 84070.
  • Closest airport is Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) 
  • Sandy is Located about 20 minutes south of SLC Airport



When is the Marketplace? 


Market Place Opens May 3-5, 2018.


Thursday May 3 --------- 10AM-6PM
Friday May 4 ------------- 10AM-8PM
Saturday May 5 --------- 10AM-4PM

Classes will be held May 2-5, 2018.


How do I get tickets? How much are they?

Tickets can be purchased online starting October 16th, 2017 and at the ticket booth at UQSM on opening day of May 3rd, 2018. Cost depends on how many days you will be attending. 

  • 1-day admission $12
  • 2-day admission $20
  • 3-day admission $30



Are coupons available?

We do have $2 coupons available at the participating stores listed below.

UQSM 2018 Class and Registration Clarification

  • Registration opens October 16, 2017.
  • We have many informative classes for all levels, offered by our outstanding 2018 faculty available at the Utah Quilting & Sewing Marketplace 2018!
  • Top industry teachers who are NEW to UQSM and NEW classes by returning teachers. It will be an exceptional educational experience for attendees.



Class Registration and Information 

A) The class registration fee is a one-time, non-refundable fee of $35 required to order classes.

Each student to register for classes requires this fee, in order to keep accurate student lists; each student MUST register and order their classes individually.

B) When adding additional classes to your original order, additional registration fees will NOT be incurred.

C) Class registrants will receive a three‐day show admission badge ($36 value) and a 2018 attendee tote bag.

D) Please do not order more than 1 (one) of each of any class and/or registration on the same order.

Full classes are listed as “sold out”.


Can I bring a stroller?

Strollers are allowed in the Marketplace.


Can I bring a Rolling Cart?

You can bring a rolling cart to wheel your class supplies to and from your vehicle and classroom. You can store these at the drop and shop booth located in the Marketplace, for a minimal fee.

Attendees:

  • One form of picture ID
  • Registration Information
  • Supplies required for each class
  • A jacket because the class rooms are sometimes cold
  • A water bottle to stay hydrated in Utah's dry climate



Machine Arrangements:

All hands‐on classes with the *exception of room # 400 will have machines provided by the classroom machine sponsors;

Bernina, Brother, Baby Lock, Handi Quilter, Gammill, Innova, APQS and Janome.

For your convenience a "Drop and Shop" machine and package storage (located in the Marketplace), will be available by the Utah Quilt Guild. Cost per package/machine is $3 per day or $5 overnight.


Adding Classes:

Additional classes can be added at any time on the website.

The pre‐registration deadline is April 21st. There will not be an added registration cost for adding classes at anytime once your registration fee is paid. The $35 registration fee is a one-time fee per person before April 21st. Starting April 22nd the one time registration fee will be $45. Please ensure that you use the same email address and phone number that you used when you paid your registration fee. Classes may also be added at the show, if they are still available.

 


Cancellation Policy

 

~The one-time registration fee is not refundable or transferable~

UQSM cancellation policy will offer everyone a refund based off both the date they registered along with the proximity of time to the marketplace. Review the rates below.

REFUND RATES

- Within 10 days of registering except after April 11, 2018…100% 
- Before January 1, 2018…75%
- Before Thursday April 21, 2018…50% 

- No refunds will be issued after April 21, 2018. NO exceptions under any circumstances. 

-Registrations made after April 11, 2018 will not qualify for a refund if canceled after 10 days.

Please remember the dates for refunds and cancellations.



Transferring to a new class:

If an attendee would like to transfer from one class to another there will be a $5 transfer fee. If the class, which the attendee is transferring to, is more than the class transferring from, the attendee will be responsible for the difference in price in addition to the $5 transfer fee.  If the opposite occurs, a refund will be given minus the $5 transfer fee.  The registration date is the earliest date of the transaction - not the date of the transfer.
 


Refunds at the Show:

Utah Quilting & Sewing Marketplace will not allow any refunds after the cancellation date.  If you are dissatisfied with a class, please email us no later than three hours after the class is finished. You will be contacted about your class experience after the conclusion of the show.

Cancellation Policy is subject to change without notice. The Utah Quilting & Sewing Marketplace team will review situations that are not addressed by our cancellation policy.
